Learners are never charged. Volunteer teachers deliver weekly online classes in languages and subjects matched to each community.
Chapter coordinators in each region manage schedules, attendance and learner safety — close to the communities they serve.
Every volunteer completes safeguarding training and coordinator review before teaching. Access is approval-based, never automatic.
Flagship program
From Learners to Leaders. From Ideas to Action.
Learners to Leaders is our youth leadership, generosity and community-action program for young people aged roughly 14–20 from communities affected by conflict. In small, interactive cohorts, participants discover their strengths, connect across cultures and turn generosity into youth-led community initiatives.
The program adapts learning and inspiration from our founder Jennifer Richmond's GivingTuesday Starling Fellowship experience. Teachers for Peace participates in the GivingTuesday generosity movement; GivingTuesday does not own, operate or formally endorse Teachers for Peace.
For funders & partners
We report impact as aggregate, anonymized figures — teaching hours delivered, attendance and reach — never individual learner data. Restricted funds, such as those for Learners to Leaders, are kept separate from core operating funds.
- Board-ready impact reporting with clear metric definitions.
- Approval-based access and safeguarding review for every volunteer.
- A volunteer-run model where funding goes to learners, not overhead.
